Fall Fest is November 6

The first annual Meigs 5th Grade Fall Fest is Friday, November 6 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM. Tickets are on sale for $5 beginning Monday, November 2. Students must keep the purchased ticket and get it signed by a parent or guardian. Tickets will be collected at the door of the event.

Each classroom is responsible for bring specific food items the morning of the festival. Our class is responsible for caramel apples and cookies. Many thanks to those who have already signed up to bring items. The student council mentioned how high our volunteer rate has been thus far!

Parents are invited to attend and help. The student council can be contacted for further info.


4-H Elections

Our class 4-H club formed on Tuesday, October 27. Our class will meet monthly at 1:30PM on the third Tuesday of the month. Officers will be nominated on elected the week of November 2. The officer positions available are: president, vice-president, secretary, project leader, community service leader, and song leader. Our class 4-H webpage will be availble soon. Centennial Celebration is Dec. 16

The fifth grade has an annual celebration in our study of the time period after the Civil War when America was rebulding and marking not only the one-hundredth anniversary of the independence of America, but the imergence of industry. This year's celebration will take palce on Wednesday, December 16. It is an all day event! Parent volunteers will be needed. Students will participate in a variety of activities throughout the entire fifth grade hall. More information will be available soon [HERE].


Betty's Brain

Our study of ecosystems through the program, Betty's Brain continues. Students will finish the first round on Tuesday, November 3. The post assessment will follow on Wednesday. Another study will begin the following week!
