Among the Hidden Internet Questions

Among the Hidden is the story of Luke, a third child, and his struggle to deal with being a third child.  Luke discovers that there are more third children living in his area.  Will he be brave enough to face them and himself?

1. Luke Garner is a hidden child--he's not supposed to exist. Do you think it's a good idea for a government to limit the number of children a family can have? If so, how many children do you think is a good number? Think about how you might argue either for or against such an idea. Research the concept of limiting family size with some friends and debate each other on the subject.

2. Luke can't leave his house. What things would you miss most if you always had to stay in your house and could never even look out the window? 

3. Luke lives in a totalitarian government. That means that the government tells the people who live under it what to do, what to think, what to eat, and how to do just about everything. You can learn more about totalitarian governments here:
