Star Party Scheduled for May 21É
The 2010 Star Party is a go for this weekend - we'll first
try Friday, May 21. If the weather is bad we'll go for Saturday, May
22. Another possible date is Monday, May 24. The location is the
25th Ave Parking Garage on the Vanderbilt Campus. It is kitty-corner from
the baseball stadium. People will park on whatever floor they come in on
and take the elevator to the 11th floor. The start time will be 8:15PM -
8:30PM (sunset won't be until 7:50 p.m. and it needs to be dark enough).
Students and parents will be able see the Moon, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and
various stars visible at this time of year. We shouldn't have to pay to
park,(the baseball games start at 6 p.m.) - just park in the "Zone 3"
